Carla Rahal Benedetti – Criminal Defense (“CRB”) was founded in 2007 with expertise in Corporate Criminal Law, which includes all areas of legal practice, from tax to environmental law;

Although recently established, CRB lawyers have solid formation and experience in the area of practice, gained on preeminent law firms and legal department of leading companies;

Carla Rahal Benedetti is the founding member of CRB;

Before founding her own firm, she worked as lawyer and head of criminal law department of highly respected law firms specialized in criminal law and capital market;

She was also a founding member of a bar review preparatory course called Rahal, Chiarella e Dias Instituto Jurídico – RCD Cursos, where, throughout 10 years, she was the pedagogical coordinator and teacher-coordinator of Criminal and Criminal Procedure laws;

As a teacher of criminal law and criminal procedure for 13 years, she has given lectures about Brazilian and international criminal law systems;

Carla Rahal Benedetti has a master degree in criminal law granted by Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo – PUC/SP, being nowadays enrolled as a graduate student in a PhD program at PUC/SP. She is graduated in Law by Faculdades Metropolitanas Unidas – FMU, in 1988;

She is the author of Direito Penal – Parte Geral, which has reached its 5th edition, and of the book called Livro de Ensino Jurídico do Curso RCD, 1st and 2nd editions. Both published by the Quartier Latin;

CRB has a broad experience handling cases in the field of environmental law. In order to point out the CRB expertise in the practice of environmental law, we can mention the significant number of public civil actions and judicial inquiries concerning environmental damage, negotiations of compliance terms before local authorities, Department of Justice and State Attorney’s Office. In addition, CRB advises clients on carbon credit transactions and projects of implementation of biodiesel and biogas plants.
